The difference between emo and scene hair is mainly in color. Essentially emo people are extremely depressed and go about with a sad face. As if the whole world is falling around them. They also dress the e part with dark T-shirts and dark colors of jeans. While scene kids are more vibrant and full of life, they enjoy colors and it shows through in their dress and hairstyles too.

To get the scene look start with the hair. The hair is usually black or blonde and is straightened. You can even keep your original hair color. Get some streaks done in pink, blue or even green. Get lots of layering done. Scene hair is usually big and puffy on the top of the hair. There are many variations and you can be an original. Get the hair style before you get the entire look and the wardrobe else, you would be called a poser.

Emo hairstyles on the other hand are all black in colors with no straightening. They need to straightened out and usually fall on the face of the person wearing the hairstyles. The use of accessories is limited unlike scene hair where both boys and girls can wear really bright clips and bandanas.
