Emo or Scene?
If you are currently following a trend but are not sure which one then hopefully this handy guide will help you. There are two very popular trends at the moment and if you are not sure which one you prefer or which one that you should be following, then you cannot really join any one specific group.
First of all, are you a happy person with lots of confidence or one that is rather shy and prefers to spend time alone writing poetry and being emotional? If you are sad and shy then you are an Emo kid. These tend to be more emotional and have a penchant for poetry, writing song lyrics and generally perfecting the moody look. If you are, on the other hand, a happy person that loves being the centre of attention and wishes to make a bold statement, then you are a Scene kid that loves socializing, parties and generally being adored by his or her adoring fans!
Do you prefer very black makeup with a pale skin backdrop or do you have a love for bright neon colored eye shadow and lipstick alongside perfectly formed cat’s eye lines with liquid eyeliner? Again Emo kids just love black or dark red eyes both in the upper eyelid and the lower one and generally wears no blusher and black lipstick. Scene kids love the black eye liner with brightly colored eye shadow surrounding it.
As a summary, if you are a bright and happy person then you are likely to be a Scene kid whereas dark and somber characters are more likely to be Emo.
